Animal Planet
Our goal was to create a memorable packaging concept that took advantage of the well recognized and highly-valued graphic assets of Animal Planet, while creating unique, pet specific package designs.
Biokleen
Simply cleaning your home is not enough. Biokleen's goal was to offer consumers a natural non-toxic product that made their home look and smell beautiful. Koopman Ostbo's goal was to create "a beauty product for the home."
Bob's Red Mill
The brand needed a distinctive look and feel that would help their consumers identify their hundreds of products. KO created a categorization system based on the various product categories (e.g. flours, cereals, mixes, etc.) while developing a design that evokes the company's turn-of-the-century brand values.
Castor & Pollux Organix
The challenge: Create the first ever USDA certified "Made with Organic Ingredients" pet food paying strict attention to the newly developed USDA NOP (National Organic Program) Guidelines even though these guidelines have yet to be adopted for pet food! Add to that the challenge of extending a fun and not-so-serious, but highly developed brand identity to the very serious category of pet food. Add to all of that the need to communicate the purity and authenticity of ingredients to the intense back-of-the-bag" label reading LOHAS consumer and you get ORGANIX®!
Enjoy Life Natural Brands
For mainstream consumers suffering from food allergies, Koopman Ostbo created a branded product line that looked very mainstream and consumer-friendly, promoted great appetite appeal and said something they had been waiting to hear Eat Freely!
Lochmead Farms
Custom illustration from a local artist and elegant typography blend together to capture the sense of location, tradition, and heritage of the three generation family farm that creates this decadent artesian brand of ice cream.
Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss
In our consumer testing phase for this frozen non-dairy dessert, we were told by several people that the packaging resembled how the product tasted unique, refreshing and light in texture. We were grinning ear to ear.
Me
Minimal design and product naming more indicative of mood than of literal flavor, come together to make this brand especially desirable to the educated urban female.
Mia Dolci
Koopman Ostbo was asked to position this new "sweet crisp" as a sophisticated but unpretentious snack, perfect for an end-of-day treat. In doing so we developed a brand name, identity, and package design reminiscent of the warmth and lifestyle of the Italian countryside.
Naturally Preferred (Kroger)
When Kroger decided to launch a premium private label natural and organic brand of products, they turned to Koopman Ostbo to create the brand, the brand style guide and over 300 SKU's of products.
Get Movin'
Koopman Ostbo was tasked by Partners to develop packaging of a new product, Get Movin crackers. The crackers are designed for people and families on the move, individually packaged in single servings to allow for quick packing and ideal for car trips and lunch sacks.
Perky's
Perky's was one of the first natural cereals on the market. Koopman Ostbo updated the original packaging to provide a refreshing evolutionary change. Koopman Ostbo was also asked to design the first ever all natural Gluten and Nut Free "O-shaped" cereal called Perky-O's. Our intention was to make it resemble America's most popular "O-shaped" cereal Cheerios.
Recharge
KO's Discovery research unveiled that the future demographic for Recharge was a serious young athlete, looking for a non-fluorescent natural he-hydration drink. Research also proved that these athletes would never take the conventional glass Recharge bottle in a gym, which influenced Smucker Natural Foods decision to change to plastic.
Santa Cruz Organic
As a pioneer brand, Santa Cruz has a great following in the market. Understanding the existing brand equity first, Koopman Ostbo developed an evolutionary design to carry this beloved brand into the future.
Sensible Sippers
A sensible treat for kids and a smart choice for moms with no sugar added and 40% less calories. Koopman Ostbo teamed up with the illustrator of the Berenstain Bears to create a package design mom's couldn't resist.
Spritzer
The goal was to update the R.W. Knudsen Spritzer brand design, and make it more appealing to contemporary consumers who desire a flavorful refreshment with reduced calories.
Zevia
Zevia is the only all natural diet soda on the market sweetened with Stevia. Koopman Ostbo's desire was to create a fresh design that cuts through the clutter and positions them as a healthier choice for the frequent soda drinker.
