Koopman Ostbo celebrates appearance of Bob's Red Mill on ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer

When we received a call from ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, we knew Bob had connected with mainstream America. ABC News was calling in response to our public relations team's aggressive outreach to celebrate some pretty big news coming from Koopman Ostbo client Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods.

On his 81st birthday on February 15, Bob's Red Mill founder Bob Moore celebrated by giving his company to the employees through an employee stock ownership plan. In what turned out to be the "feel good story of the recession," Bob's inspiring story was featured in the "American Heart" segment narrated by Diane Sawyer.

In addition to the ABC piece, Bob was interviewed by People Magazine, National Public Radio, Fox and Friends, Inc. magazine and the company has even fielded calls from Ellen DeGeneres. Now that's not too bad for a man who lost his mill to an arsonist at age 60 and persevered to rebuild his company into a national leader in whole grain foods.
